Today's Tea Party is for Paul in Virginia who sadly lost both his mother and his wife to Covid recently. Lisa's challenge to us is to be inspired by The Orient in this time of travel resrictions. My inspiration is the upcoming Chinese New Year--The Year of the Ox. I needed a Chinese New Year card for my friend, Yingming, so I made Paul's card a Year of the Ox card as well. Good thing I have an ox stamp thanks to Unity. I can resist all the pretty flower stamps you throw at me, but offer up this funny shaggy ox and I have to have it. He was pretty fun to color. I thought this neutral DP would be good to pair with him to make Paul a thinking of you card. And, well, you can put sequins on masculine card, right? Because it needed them.

Fabulous cards. I love the dp papers you used and the design of the card. Beautiful coloring too and the palette is one of my favorites. Wonderfully done.

This is a much more personable Ox than I had imagined as a "year of the Ox" image. I for one would never have thought I'd consider an ox CUTE but this one is personality plus and you did a super job of framing him with those neutral DP's.

Your ox looks Fabulous, Jen, because you colored him up so well! I don't think I've ever seen an ox stamp before, but he's kind of cute in his own way. The leaves surrounding him make him feel right at "home", I'm sure. Sequins can be added to any type of card, IMO~

Great image and absolutely perfect for the challenge Jen. This is a beautifully laid out card. Thank you so much for joining in on the challenge this week. I am sure Paul will love this sweet card.
