The cover is a Christmas card from Jill (JD from PAUSA) and inside I have tied in various other cards, gift card covers and envelopes I received. I used a lot of gesso, packing tape, tissue paper, and card stock to strengthen the cover and other sections.
For the cover, I took Jill's card, scored a spine, taped up the spine, backed with card stock, added a layer of gesso, a frame of tissue and modge podge, then some more embellishments, more gesso, and a bit of gold paint.
I do love all the cards I received, and I love this project as it will let me keep them for a very long time plus others can enjoy them as well. I plan to make few more of these - it was super fun. Thanks for all the inspiration Kandie and scrapacat!
Thanks to my sweet friends who sent me the cards too. I appreciate you all!

Nancy, this is awesome and I looked at your blog to see your Christmas card journal. It is such a special thing to have and keep. Happy New Year and you are in my thoughts and prayers today.

Nancy that’s gorgeous , I never thought of using a large card for the cover, I’ve just started making a book for my cards but only got as far as the front and back covers.
