This is my first upload since October. I took some time off to deal with home, health and family. My craft room had to be clear out for floor repair and it has taken longer than expected to put back together with all the rest that has been happening. I am finally doing some stamping again! I needed some inspiration so I headed to two of my favorite challenges:
Color Challenge hosted by Jeanne: Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Smokey Slate with shimmer, shine or sparkle for dessert.
Featured Stamper Challenge hosted by Kittie: honoring Ina aka yellowrose46
Ina inspired me to use the same stamp that has never seen ink. As Ina did, I clear embossed the image with clear ink to show the white of the paper. Then I used blending brushes to add the challenge colors. The Smokey Slate is less and also represented in the die-cut word.
Other changes: colors, theme, strip of glimmer paper underneath the layers instead of ribbon on top, die-cut sentiment instead of stamped, no DSP.
Color Challenge Dessert: shine of the embossing & the die-cut and the sparkle of the glimmer paper.
Super fun to make a card today. Thanks to Ina for sharing her beautiful cards and for Jeanne and Kittie to host their challenges. Thanks for looking! Happy New Year!

Wow Diane, this is gorgeous! I love the way you blended those lovely colour so softly into each other. I love the faux stitched edges too. I hope all is well with you now. I'm glad my gallery inspired you.

Your scene is awesome. You have not lost your touch! Those are great colors for the scene. I just started back again this week just to play and have fun.

Mine has not seen ink yet either. Now, I don't feel so bad, lol....Great to see you back in the gallery with this color and FS challenge card. Wonderful sponging and love the font of the hope die! Great card Diane!
Diane, this is a great case of Ina's card. I loved reading your technique to clear emboss the trees on white before adding the color. I love how you used the soft challenge colors on the tree layer.
