This crazy year we started what is now becoming a new tradition in our home -- I am making the cards for my hubby to gift to me. You will see back in the summer I made an Anniversary card because he wasn't able to get out to buy one. It's now birthday season in our home (mine this week; his next) and again he couldn't get out so I volunteered. The funny part is that I haven't been been feeling very "inspired" recently, so when I sat down to make a card I really couldn't figure out what kind of card I should make for "me". Too funny. But I decided on whimsical and I love Mo's gnomes so that's where this went. And, this year, I have been using teal and forest green a LOT, so I stuck with that color palette too.
Straight forward card: Merged the two images; printed, copic coloring; stenciled clouds; die cut and paste. Voila! The sentiment is computer generated using Calibri and Bromello fonts.
Someone asked me if this was a "special" birthday (technically that's next year). I said at this point, every birthday is a special birthday. Hope your day is special too. TFL

Beautiful scene you created with homes, trees and the star, your gnome in my favorite colors! Amazing color/shading. Tad of red undies on your guy...cool!

Happy birthday to you!! (And DH next week). I'm loving the new tradition. Who could make you a better birthday card? That gnome is a hoot and colored so beautifully! Throw in some Bromello font and you've got a winner for sure.
