Anita's fancy fold challenge today is really quite easy, once you make a few mistakes. I really like this fold, I'm sure I'll do it again. She is so good at them, takes such care with her pdf and examples, thank you, Anita.
I used some gel prints I had done recently for my dsp. I used two of them because I kept making mistakes cutting them to fit the areas. Because I'm a scrounge, I used my mistakes inside. The dies are supposed to be petals (three layers) but I like them as leaves, cut from many stash pieces that were too small for anything else. Most of them are gel printing scraps, some are alcohol ink. I love this sentiment, so I put some thread on my card at the top, along with the cutest copper SU acorn. The rest of the sentiment is inside and reads '...are the strongest ties.' Friedrich Nietzsche. I'm going to send this to my brother and SIL for Thanksgiving. There are strong ties going over Lake Michigan from Menomonee Falls, WI to Holland, MI. Thanksgiving will be very different for my family.
This is also for the new MMJ (mixed media challenge), started by Ozpom and a few others; the most recent was to make gel prints. Check it out in the challenges in the forum, toward the bottom.

LOL, because I bought those petals and I see them as leaves too. And that little acorn is just sweet with them.
I cut an extra template from copy paper, and then cut patterns for the pieces from that for my decorative layers - taking care to right on them left, centre and right, and even at that I nearly got confused. It's the main reason I struggle with the trifold card, too. Your gel prints certainly go together well. I'm frugal with mine, too.

of course, I love this deep card! The gel print background panels are just so visually interesting...no matter where you look, there is another spot in a corner that carries the pattern forward. The contrast between the delicate cording and the bold die cut leaves is a genius touch. Invisible Threads...well, almost! It looks great in the copper as the little acorn too.
A wonderful mixed media marvel, bfnm! It inspires me to give the wonky fold a go.
