I loved the pretty rose, stripes in the background and the bright colors. Back in September, I stamped this image and started it for Color Challenge 807 Rocco Rose, Highland Heather, and Pear Pizzazz with a rose for dessert. Life got busy that week and I didnât finish it. It has been sitting on my pile.
Today I was motivated by Marianneâs lovely card to finally use it! I completed the coloring that I started using markers, masked off the image and stenciled Heather stripes in the middle area and drew black lines at the top & bottom of the stenciling. I matted the panel as Marianne did, using a colored card base instead of white. I used faceted dots instead of butterflies and changed the sentiment/theme.
Thank you Marianne for sharing your beautiful cards with us and for inspiring mine today!
Thanks all for looking!

Oh wow, this is stunning. I love your take on my card. If it were me masking this lovely floral image, I'm sure I would have messed it up and stenciled right over it! You did it perfectly. I like how you added the lines at the top and bottom. Thanks so much for sharing.

Oh, Diane, this is SO pretty! Your coloring is just beautiful and the stenciled stripes are a terrific addition. Love the fonts on your sentiment, too. I'm so glad that you had time to finish coloring this sweet image and creating such a lovely card!
