Pat is our hostess this week for Teapot Tuesday, and we're "tagging our cards" to send them to Lisa's uncle - find out why and where HERE.
Well, I was stumped, because last time we had a fire theme I think I used punch art, more suitable for a younger generation. And I definitely had no buffalos and I had to look up softball to see what it was. So I just went for an overall masculine look with the requisite tag, and in the end I did add a couple of balls but I am sure they are much smaller .
I looked through my bag of tags and pulled two out. On the dark one, I stamped a coffee background, added washi tape along the bottom, and the verse from Isaiah from Rose Wonder.
On the smaller tag, I stamped and masked the dog. Sponged in the brick wall using a stencil from The Order of the Planners, and used Gorgeous Grunge to stamp the floor. Removed the mask and coloured the dog with Polychromos pencils. I stamped an extra nose and contoured it for dimension, and added the googlie eyes. Tied the two together with a raffia bow, and set about looking for something to use in the background. I added colour with some fun chevron paper, and as a last-minute finishing touch, I added three little yellow balls.

Oh this is really cute with that TH pup...love the brick bg. I had to laugh when you mentioned looking up softball...not sure why it struck me as funny. I'm sure he'll love this.

I must say I didn't know softball either...maybe we use another name in Europe...I love your tag with the cute dog and love the brick wall (we had the same idea) and I love how you've attached it to the colorful card!!

My uncle will love this Sabrina. He loves many animals as he use to be the fire chief for the Carson and Barns Circus. He would take us around all the animals and we got behind the scenes look of them putting up the tents with the elephants as he helped get them set up to make sure they passed inspection with local jurisdictions when they stopped in the cities for shows. Thank you so much for sending him a card. He will be overjoyed at this wonderful card.

Wow, Sabrina! Not one, but TWO tags! Love the way you used them and the dog. Softball is like baseball, but the ball is much bigger. I guess is it softer than a baseball, but not really soft. However it is too big to use a glove or mitt. Easier to hit and easier to catch because it is bigger. Many girls' and ladies' teams here.

Love your tag and the encouraging scripture you're sending to Neil! The stenciled brick background looks great as a backdrop for the cute dog!

Well, I was surprised that softball was foreign to you. A lot of Europe plays wonen's fast-pitch softball. I was on an over 40's SLOW pitch mixed league [men & women together] here for years (Catcher) till my knees gave out . . . . The ball we used was about the size of a grapefruit.
Anyway I love your "dog tag" with his googly eyes. I can feel his anticipation waiting for someone to toss those balls! The stenciled wall looks great and I love the soft bg text on your sentiment tag.

Love this! At least you got the tag on there and some balls! I was so disappointed that I didn't have any bison. This dog with his googly eyes is great!
