Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some lovely fall colors to work with: Cinnamon Cider, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral. The dessert option is "your favorite green."
I started with a piece of Bristol cardstock, and blended the DOX versions of the three challenge colors. Then I placed a stencil over it and pounced through the stencil with a sponge dipped in white craft ink (Thank you, Jennifer McGuire!). On another piece of Bristol cardstock, I sponged more of the yellow, brown and green shades. Then I die cut those with the daisy dies. I used a sponge dauber to add the coral color onto each petal tip, curled the petals, and stacked the layers.
I stamped the sentiment, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. (Distress Oxide inks are great for heat embossing!) Cut out the rectangle with a stitched die added the flower and leaves, along with some gems for a little sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

I like the background you created Barbara- using the stencil with white ink is a great idea- I like your pretty daisy and the sentiment will make someone smile for sure

Terrific background. Wonderful result from the stencil technique. Love the layered flower. Fabulous sentiment. Great card to show off the challenge colors!

Beautiful background Barbara - I love how the soft white adds subtle texture. Your daisy with the gem for the center is just perfect for the background!

Beautiful card Barbara... I've not thought of using a stencil applying white craft ink over a sponged background, it provides a nice soft touch, love it! I almost used the guilded gems too, I had them on and took them off, lol! Great minds think alike! However, I have to say your sponged tip flowers are the eye catcher! Love the whole design!
