This is my entry for the Alphabet Challenge letter R and the TLC challenge to try reverse stenciling. I'm also entering it into the Free For All challenge to make a birthday card.
The R is represented by the reverse stenciling technique as well as the color red.
I made the reverse stencil panel a few weeks ago when that was the TLC challenge but I hadn't made it into a card. (The card I was thinking of using it for a background, it didn't look good together.) I did decide to clear heat emboss the background when I was finished for a little shine and texture in the background too.
Actually, I'm guessing as to what colors I used on the background for the panel, I think it was the gold and the Poppy Parade, but I'm not 100% sure. I should record details like that on the back of the panel when I make it!
I thought of this panel for the Alphabet Challenge letter R, so then it was deciding how to complete it into a card. I showed DD2 several ideas for finishing it and she selected Marquee Messages so I went with that.
I stamped the marquee and heat embossed it, then stamped the two sentiment stamps and heat embossed those. A little bit of coloring with SU markers, fussy cutting, and that panel is popped up.
Thanks for looking!

Your DD was right, these colors and pattern on the back panel look great with the marquee birthday image! So pretty with all that shine too and would be great for either man or woman~

Marquee Messages was the right choice. Good call for your dd! You two got a wonderful collaboration going on for this card. The boldness of that amazing background with that stamp works, totally works!

When in doubt, ask your daughter. They always seem to have strong opinions, don't they? I have one DD and she's very direct about her choices. I really love that background and it does pair so well with the marquee greeting. All came together beautifully for this birthday card.

Love to see everyone loving that reverse stenciling as much as I did. Great card!
