This card was made for a card sketch challenge that also asked that you feature "texture" in your card. I chose to do an interactive "magic card". The poor sick sloth is laying on a branch with his paw bandaged with a background of green leaves, but when you pull down the tab, he magically shows up in living color!
The tutorial for the "magic card" can be found on Splitcoaststampers at: Magic Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers My challenge was that to fit the sketch, I needed the tab on the BOTTOM left corner of my frame, so had to do some "reverse" thinking to switch it around. Most magic cards you pull up on the tab at the top, and the image appears ABOVE the card.
The texture in the card is both in the leafy background paper, the embossed green background of the sloth, the wood pattern stamped on the brown frame, and finally the shiny texture of the acetate moving window that provides the "magic".
Magic cards are straightfoward, but do require careful measurements and cutting. The tutorial I linked to gives you good guidance in the form of a step-by-step photo tutorial, and at the end a video tutorial. I am rating the difficulty as a "3" out of a possible "5". I think this will make a great get well card!
