This card was made for a three-part challenge that required a Christmas theme, use of an elf or gnome, and feature your favorite card making tool.
I don't own any elf or gnome stamps, so had to resort to the Internet where I found this cute little girl elf at clipartkey.com I colored her with Copic markers, then using one of my favorite tools, My Brother ScanNCut, I cut her out. I then mounted her on a red circle I had die cut using the Stampin' Up! (SU) Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.
I used white cardstock for my card base, a retired SU green Christmas designer series paper (DSP) for the green snowflake front to the car, matching green triangles for the gatefold, and a strip of white cardstock I stamped in green using a retired 1998 SU snowflake stamp set. After removing the belly-band, the card opens up like a regular card with plenty of room inside to write your holiday greeting.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" because of all the steps it requires. None of the steps are hard at all if you follow Jennifer's tutorial.
