This card was made for a sketch challenge that also required you to "create a scene".
I mirrored the sketch so that the lady on the boat was on the right instead of the left. I've always liked this Stampin' Up! (SU) 2004 stamp set, especially the lady dangling her feet in the water. I stamped her first on white cardstock using Memento black ink (which is alcohol ink friendly for coloring). Then, I snipped out the waves from the new SU "Whale of a Time" designer series paper, and glued it down so it overlapped her feet and the bottom of the boat, and stamped her again. Using the SU stamp positioner tool makes this SO easy!
I then hand colored her using Copic alcohol markers. The sky is sponged using SU Marina Mist ink. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom using dark blue ink, then added the blue ribbon, which wrapped around the panel and was taped to the back.
Finally, the completed panel was glued to a dark navy card base to frame it.
This card was super easy to make, so I am rating it's difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5". If you are an experienced card maker who uses alcohol inks, the difficulty would be a "1".
