It's Tickle a Teapotter time! Shelly's challenge is Eastward Bound. She's taking us to Asia for tea.
I created a side step card base, adhered pp to the main panel and bottom step, brushed ink on the edges. I stamped the scene with sepia on cream cs and brushed on inks. Die cut the image panel and adhered to main panel. Die cut the teapot and cups from celadon cs and kraft. Layered the pieces and brushed ink around the edges. Created a low table from a strip of light brown cs, die cut the bottom for legs. Adhered table, teapot and cups to the bottom step. Stamped Chinese characters to light brown pp, over-stamped with mountains and trees. Die cut the panel and trimmed to create a screen. Die cut lanterns and layered the pieces on the second step. TFL

Oh wow Miss Carla, you had me at "side step card". Every inch of this is wonderful. I love the sepia tones, this looks like it stepped straight out of the pages of an exotic Asian history book. The die cuts look fabulous and the way you coloured the teapot and cups makes them look real!!! Can you tell how much I love this.

Wow, Carla, this is a beautifully designed Asian themed side step card! Love the sepia tone stamping of the Japanese ladies and the wonderful details - the little table looks fabulous with the teapot and cups and the mountain bg looks terrific with the row of lanterns!

This is very creative...I love the sepia tone....what a fantastic vintage style teahouse. I really like how you incorporated the tea service and lanterns on the step part. Way cool....

What a wonderful scene, Carla. Great way to use the lanterns . And the teapot and cups are beautiful, they remind me of the ones in a little Vietnamese restaurant we have been to in Paris. The rich, warm colour palette is super.

Your Asian-themed card is just magnificent Carla. I love the card design, the images and die cuts and all the details you added with your stamping and sponging. This beautiful card is a real feast for the eyes Carla, and will be a real delight for some lucky Teapotter. ~Karen.

This is mesmerizing with it's serene shades of coffee & cream - rather like a dressed up version of the old tintypes . . . I have never tried a side step card but I am inspired to do so with the inspiration from this amazing scene. Crossing my fingers that this card comes to ME in the Tickle!!
