This is for a friend of Faye's who has cancer and would like some happy snail mail. Melanie's party included all the accoutrements of an old fashioned tea party-doilies, napkins, flowers and sweets. I left off the sweets, I've been indulging too much lately.
I colored the flower stamp with markers, spritzed with water and stamped on wc paper. Added a little extra marker as needed, cut it with the banner die and edged the paper with the gold ink. I did try the felted cardstock, I think I need more practice, but thought this watercolor printed and modern napkin looked good with the flowers and the old fashioned doily. My grandma tatted so I have a few of her pieces. I'll figure out a sentiment later.

Super card Jean! It is so bright and so cheerful and is sure to lift Melanie's spirits when she receives it. I love the rainbow colors and the gold doily peeking out from behind the image panel- fun! ~Karen.

Those pink flowers are so pretty and would make anyone smile...I like the bold napkin you used for your bg. The gold lace design is a nice compliment to the bright colors.

I do believe you managed a whole rainbow of colors behind those fun flowers (sans the orange tones but Melanie won't miss those!) Well done on the felting - I thought you had done the watercolor yourself . . .

Wow, you sure do have some amazing napkins over there. That one is perfect with the soft watercolour effect got from spritzing the stamp. I always keep meaning to use banners more - they look good.
