Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a birthday card for my nephew who just turned four.... he LOVES any kind of heavy equipment or trucks. When I saw this week's Sketch Challenge it was a no-brainer to grab the 'Dump Truck Birthday' set from Divinity Designs LLC, since the caution tape stamp was perfect for the angled sketch element! I began by cutting out the background panel with the Pierced Rectangles Dies and the bottom layer with the Matting Rectangle Die. The caution tape was stamped at an angle, then cut out with a paper trimmer. Once the strip was cut, I trimmed a bit more from each side so that there would be separation of the sections. The background was sponged over scratch paper masks for the dirt and the Clouds and Raindrops Dies for the clouds; the dump truck was stamped, fussy cut, colored with markers, then popped up with foam tape. Four balloons (for birthday #4) were cut out with the 'Happy Birthday' Dies set and popped up with foam tape after adding baker's twine.

I remember my boys loving Tonka trucks when they were about that age. This card will delight your little nephew. It was a great design for this challenge.

And don't all little boys (and girls) love trucks! My FIL worked in heavy construction, and his magazines got devoured by my kids! I love your fun card for your nephew....great bold colors!
