Finding the colours was the challenge, these are the closest I could find in my stash and I had to check the Stampin' Up online catalogue several times to make sure I was close enough. Then I wanted something behind the 'portrait' so I used the technique I used in my early days of crafting simply using the ink pad to stamp directly onto the paper. For this I used the two reds - Fired Brick and Barn Door. Once I had coloured the flowers I sponged the edges with Spiced Marmalade to give it a hint of a frame. Then just to finish off I stamped the sentiment in Fired Brick several times to get it dark enough but looking at it in daylight it could have done with a few more goes with the Misti/Stamparatus. I love these challenges. Thank you for looking.

Your background technique looks really cool. I have also just taken a stamp and stamped it all over in the same color or with VersaMark to give it a watermark look. Your flowers and vase are colored beautifully. Thanks for sharing!
