Color Challenge Parade of Crazy Melodies with a frame as the dessert option
When I saw the challenge, I was astounded because although I was out of Mango Melody in both ink and cardstock, but I had just included these items in order a few days before. I just had to wait for them and my order arrived today. In the meantime, I stamped and colored the image. I was able to scribble my Mango Melody marker on an acrylic block to get enough ink for the lilies and a few other spots. I used neutrals Crumb Cake for the basket & bird and Mossy Meadow for the leaves & stems. A frame was cut from Poppy Parade with two layering square dies, one with a straight edge and one with scallops. The watercolored image square was inlaid into the frame.
I embellished with the last bit of this Poppy Parade ribbon. Scor-lines down the left side and a simple birthday greeting stamped in Cajun Craze to finish. This color combo was a challenge, but I like to be stretched a little. Thanks Karen! Thank you for looking.

What a lovely birthday card this is Diane. I chuckled about you waiting to work on this card until your ordered items came in - fun! A fellow crafter always understands. I love the way you have colored and framed this charming image Diane. You have made this week's colors sing with this fantastic card! ~Karen.
