Carla is our hostess for this week's WTUI challenge, which you can find HERE. This one was right up my alley - I could have made cards all week if I had time. All month, almost ;-).
So, as if I didn't already have enough umbrellas, I asked DH to buy this one for my birthday. He's given me real ones for my birthday and anniversary in the past, too,
Background from Jean, Dina Wakley sprays on deli paper I believe. I stencilled silver acrylic paint raindrops on with a TCW stencil. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Umbrella dies to create a shaker card. The back, blue, piece is salted background on watercolour paper, with Honeybee star confetti for shaker. Sentiment from Darcie's set, stamped on a tag, sponged with antique linen and vintage photo, splash from French Foliage. Brusho-dyed seam binding for the bow. Silver pen edging, and raindrops cut from holographic card in each corner.
As I upload this, it's perfect umbrella weather but I hope it will be dry in the morning for cycling to work.

Love this cute shaker card. I like the use of deli paper. I have quite of it left on a roll, somewhere, that I tore in pieces to past on the wall and made faux wallpaper. It looked great when it was painted. I will have to try this technique if I figure out where I put that crazy deli paper.

I love this as a shaker......fab way to attach the sentiment as a tag with the ribbon!
