I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Lisa is our hostess and she has a wonderful challenge for us called, "Cutting Up" so think fussy cutting. Fun!
This week's recipient hit me right in the heart in a really big way. To have a situation like she has and to have 2 small children to think about too. Because this gal's story hit me in the heart so deeply, I decided to make a card with a heart on it to let her know she is loved and valued.
I used my favorite deckle scissors to cut the dsp mat layer and to cut the dsp heart layer. The sentiment is die cut from glitter cardstock and also from a piece of chocolate chip cardstock that is used as a shadow. I hope the butterflies on this designer paper bring some hope to Katherine, and I hope she really does know how much she is loved and that people care deeply about what she is going through.
Thank you Lisa for this fabulous challenge and thank you for looking! ~Karen.

Bubbles & butterflies - both for me lift the spirits and put a smile on my face. - That bold glitter encrusted sentiment is awesome and the heart setting just perfect to frame it.
