Sue gave us a really fun tickle theme this time. I love to read, too so I had plenty of book covers from which to choose. I went with a book called The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. Here's the cover . It's about a network of women spies during WWII. The cover shows a London background but the story takes place in France, too, so I was able to use my new die cut featuring the Eiffel Tower. I copied an old German book page and then sponged a stormy sky. I added the Paris cityscape (out of some Prima paper) the car, and the woman. That's it! Thank you Sue, my fellow bibliophile!

Fabulous collage style card, Polly. The grey sponged sky on the book page looks awesome, and that elegant lady sure could be a spy. This has a really cool feel to it and I love the die cut.

Love the old German script. When I was learning, we were still taught to write the old scharfes s, but I think with the advent of modern keyboards it's usually just an ss now. Super card. It reminds me a lot of Midnight in Paris with the old car and your wonderful lady.

What a fabulous card, Polly! I love the old car with the lady looking suspicious and the Eiffel Tower in the bg! Your author’s name sounds so familiar that I might have to look it up. Thanks for a fun card!

I was guessing Paris, mid-30's when I open this but I see by the description, I was off by a decade. Great images (so like the cover) and the troy line sounds like one I could REALLY get into!

Polly, I thought you would connect with this challenge! I will have to put this book on my list to read, I don't know of it! Your card, inspired by the cover, is fabulous, tres chic! I thought that bg might have been a page from a book, the clouds over the top of it clever. I love the glamorous lady, the vintage car and your new Eiffel Tower die. We have lots time to read now, don't we??
