Recently I made a trip to California to visit with my cardmaking friends. It was so good to see all of them and spend some quality time with each other. It's been too long.
Bonnie has such a giving heart, she is always giving me fresh Meyer Lemons. Since it really isn't possible to make and ship Lemon Bars, I made this card as a Thank you. Bonnie will get it right away that this card relates to the lemons she gave to me. Thank you very much, Bonnie. You will be thought of with so much love when I do use the lemon juice for making goodies.
There is a lot of stuff going on with this card. You should be able to see the sun rays stenciled with the gold brilliance ink. I wipe most of it away, but it leaves this beautiful golden residue. For the little dots on the trees, I used the yellow glitter pens, with 2 coats of the clear on top. IRL, this card shines like the good heart Bonnie freely shares.
For the fairy's hair, I over stamped with the copper brilliance ink.
Making these fairy cards may involve a lot of time and work, but the effort is so worth it. Each one is different.
You may be able to see where I smudged a little of the black ink (2 spots). One must be very careful when making these cards. Though I did my best to cover up the smudges. ;)
Thank you for looking!
It took 5 tries to get a decent photo, and yet it still doesn't show all the fine details. Buggers!
