Mary came up with a really wonderful challenge combination for us this week: Basic Black + Real Red + Very Vanilla with your favorite green for dessert. What a lot of fun - there are so many possibilities! I really didn't know if I could choose just one green but I do know that I like a classic green with black and red.
This started out as a one layer card with masking. I stamped "you've got this girl" in Call Me Clover inside of a frame from Swirly Frames and then masked the whole frame before adding lots of ladybugs and flowers. I colored it all in with Blends (alcohol markers) in the challenge colors, adding in a little Smoky Slate to keep the ladybug detail showing.
It would have made a great one layer card but if you use alcohol markers you know that they show through on the back so I added a layer, some lace and dimensionals on a slightly bigger card - to match an envelope I already had.
What is your favorite green? I hope you show it to us with your work in the gallery!
This card and it's partner actually got a blog post.

This is such a fabulous card Chris, with those cute lady bugs peeking out behind the wonderful sentiment! Layering it up and adding the lace on the corners still retains a nice CAS look to me at least.

Really cute with all the ladybugs. I like the use of the lace!
