Anita aka Snietje is hosting this weeks special teaparty for Dorothy aka etsdas. Our challenge is to use 3 things. I took my inspiration from the fun RV teapot...this is what we see when we go traveling in our RV.
I have chosen die cuts, stencils and digi image. The background is from my stash, I used it for the background and also to diecut the 2 trees.
This sweet little koala is part of a beautiful "Love for Australia Set" by Crissy Armstrong at Whimsy Stamps. This digi set is US$10, with all proceeds going to the Emergency Fund for Wildlife to help all the animals suffering after the bush fires. This is so generous of Whimsy Stamps, especially as US$10 is almost $15 here in Australia.
Accessories: Prismacolour pencils, alcohol inks, Stazon ink (for stenciling), Poppy Stamps tree die, Ai Branch die (with the bird chopped off), Paper Roses leaf stencil
Techniques: Die cuts, stenciling, fussy cutting (Koala)

This is a wonderful card Susie. Bought a tear to my eye when I saw it. So many beautiful koalas lost along with their habitat as well. You have created a lovely forest home for Cuddles. I have just bought a similar stamp set from Unity Stamps and they to are also donating proceeds to help out as well.

Cute koala image and his forest backdrop looks fabulous Susie, a lovely card and a great fundraiser effort from Whimsy that I’m sure will be much appreciated by those working so hard in the aftermath of the fires (and continuing to hope the worst is over).

Your background for that sweet koala is outstanding, almost looks real. I will check out the stamp set. An artist here in Menomonee Falls, WI is creating art to sell, proceeds to Australia.

Oh my gosh, another winner, Susie. I'm so tempted to get that stamp set. Besides your outstanding background I'm fascinated how you made that little koala look so soft and fuzzy! Beautifully done and a fun card for Dorothy.

I am amazed at the texture you brought to that Koala - I want to reach out to stroke that soft fluffy looking fur. And he really pops to the forefront with that shadowed and mysterious bg!

I totally wish I had some BGs in my stash to grab from but alas I have not created them yet as I am trying to use up other supplies that seem to be taking up a lot of space in my craft room. But some day I will get some made. Great digi image. I love your card with the limited supplies.
