What a thought provoking challenge, Carla! I love it! I chose to use a page from last years Frank Lloyd Wright. It was a Christmas gift that I enjoyed 12 months and even used it to make ART!
I took the picture and cut it down to the size I wanted to use. Then I cut the chair from the photo. It was a lovely greenish solid fabric. The Rebekah Meier stencil was sponged with two greens. In the whole of the stencil, it says Be in Love. I used just a portion~BE. I placed the panel back into the chair 'frame'. I added Washi tape that spoke to my BE.
Words are so powerful. I chose Remember, important, Today I will. BE. I need to remember those EVERY day.
The FLW quote at the bottom of my page is:
There is no architecture
without philosophy.
There is no art of any kind
without its own philosophy.
Be true to your ART! Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your art, 2!

Always artful and thoughtful....you really bring some interesting and thought provoking cards/projects to the gallery. I like the idea of "be"....yes it's important to remember to be every day. I bet Jean will love this..didn't we do the FLW challenge last year for her tickle?

Great card utilizing the actual calendar photo and then "upholstering the chair in a design that FLW might have designed himself(not so sure about the chartreuse....he was a "neutral/natural" kind of guy...altho' I do remember a red-orange water pot in the fireplace at Falling Water) Thought-provoking and well done as ever, Susan.

I think you get a triple bonus for using a calendar page and for the artful adaptation, Susan! The stenciling is beautiful for the chair and those powerful words are ones to live by!! Thanks for playing in my challenge.

FLW...I should have known. O4J and FLW go together like peas and carrots. Wonderful! I know I've had a Wright calendar in my lifetime but who knows where it got to? Favd.
