I recently purchased this koi fish die and spent a few days thinking about how I wanted to use it. I cut the Koi out of black glitter paper. I stamped the background on the sea glass cardstock and cut the Koi out of it. I did a quick water color wash on watercolor paper and used some Deco foil transfer gel to apply foil in streaks over the dry watercolor. I placed the koi die cut back into the die cut opening and added the eye. I'm loving it!

Turned out great! Love the vibrant colors. I have that background stamp, too, and just used it for the first time. I never would have thought to use it on a water background -- great idea!
