Congratulations, Jean Bean, on posting your first challenge! Maybe go a little easier on us next time. LOL! Actually, this technique sounded really fun. I too love that word faux and all the fun that comes along with it. But todayâs card was a wild and crazy adventure. And it is what it is. I needed a cat sympathy card so I had an idea to make a swirly sky background for my angel kitty digi. I embossed the swirly background onto glossy cardstock and spread on some alcohol ink. Then I took another piece of glossy cardstock and ironed them together. Then I couldnât get them apart. So strips it is! I cut them with my Lawn Fawn stitched cloud border die and sponged a piece of white background with Peaock Feathers for the rest of the sky. Splattered with water and die cut some fluffy clouds. I didnât clear the scrap paper off my desk that had splatters of alcohol ink from my background and I accidentally colored the kitty on top of that paper. I was literally coloring the last touches on his face when suddenly a big blue splotch appeared. It was 7:21 and my kids were going to be getting up soon. I tried picking up the color with my colorless blender but that didnât work. I tried to blend it in some more with the E40 that I was using. So I just took my BG000 and colored over the entire cat. My angel kitty now as a blue spectral glow to him that youâd (almost) never know was unintentional...

And that's your story and you're sticking to it...hahahaha, Jen, sorry I stressed you out. You wouldn't have had to say any of that, because I was impressed you just used a 'portion' of it for the water. When I do backgrounds, I tend to think I have to use the whole thing or none. I think they stuck because both were glossy, next time (!) just use regular cs for the extra. I think this is awesome, the cat looks sooooo cool.

Fun card! Your cute kitty reminded me of when children eat something and get it all over their face, the little innocent angels with the give away stained faces.
