For Jeanne's MIX363 Slick Stamping MIXed media challenge, stamping on an alcohol ink background. This may not be the sort of background she was thinking of, but it is Tim Holtz's plaid technique using alcohol inks. I thought it would be fun to combine the plaid with a swirling stamp, so I stamped the flourishes over it with archival black. Trimmed into strips, and then added some stencilling with gold paint and drywall mesh tape on each piece - though I think I already had my at least two mediums covered. I matted the pieces on black, and added some sequins and rhinestones. Cut the birthday sentiment in about 5 different colours before deciding that white looked best.

I love the combination from the plaid with the swirls, I'm not sure I would have put the birthday sentiment like you've done but this is surprisingly interesting!!

The created plaid with the swirled stamping makes for a lovely card, Sabrina. I like how you broke it into three panels. Your choice of colors would make it a wonderful birthday card for either sex.
