This card is the result of one of those happy accidents.
I was making the background for my card for the TLC card I uploaded, "Rainbow Wishes" and had the paper too wet. I put it aside to dry and continued on with the card.
When I went to put the first background away I really liked the look of it and this card design and theme popped into my head because it reminded me of the skies you get in bush-fires.
For the CAS challenge it was to make a card of a view form your window. I can't see this view but sadly there are a lot of people here in Australia that can.
I cut out three of the window frames and sandwiched them together with Tombo glue. I placed the frame over the background then cut the background to fit.
Before gluing the background to the frame I hand drew the big tree and stamped the little bushes and birds flying away.
I worked out where I wanted the greeting and then stamped this using the SU Stamparatus.
Once this was done I attached the background and frame to the card base with high tack double sided tape and completed the card inside with a leftover strip of the background and some white blending card mounted onto some SU Lovely Lilac card stock and that is it.
Thanks so much for looking.
