It is my pleasure to be your hostess in the first Color Challenge of 2020. I have chosen So Saffron, Early Espresso and Balmy Blue, with the dessert option of "trees."
This was one of those happy cards that was created in my imagination before I got into my craft room. I started with a piece of Bristol paper, which is the absolute best for ink blending. I punched a 3/4" circle from masking paper and placed it where I wanted my moon to appear, and proceeded to blend Broken China Distress Oxide ink all over the background. Then I removed the mask and very carefully, with a small blending brush, added the Scattered Straw ink for the moon. Stamped the trees with Ground Espresso ink and left it to dry overnight. Came back and sponged Early Espresso ink for the ground, and added some tiny dots of Stickles to resemble snow. Added a So Saffron frame and mounted on an Early Espresso card base, added the sentiment which was white embossed on Early Espresso cardstock and punched out.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with use this week!

That's a beautiful scene you've created, Barbara! The dots of stickles look fabulous for snow. Your card would be wonderful for a number of occasions but works so perfectly for a sympathy card.
