Hope I pulled this off in time to swapas there are so many I would love to trade with and have! I made an easel card with an easel on it, celebrating our new year with SCS in my heart. I just LOVE waking up each day (sometimes I peek the night before) with a new challenge direction. I stamped the large book in black, embossed with gold. Watercolored the pages with metallic WC paints. Used the Misti to get the rainbow effects on the sentiments with assorted inks and Marvy Wet Look Markers; the lower ones are clear embossed. I used Inkense to color around the little hand stamped rubber stamp image. The little book was stamped several times so it would have pages and depth to hold up the card. Here's to a very creative year for all of us....can't wait to see what's ahead dear friends.

An easel within an easel is just the sort of unexpected to come from the creative mind of Lori! Love all the care you took to create the rainbow of colors in the sentiment.

You certainly rocked the challenge. I like that big black book...it reminds me of the old family Bibles on my piano. I like the pages you created in it, too, and love the open book for the easel stopper. And especially I like I've inspiring sentiment.

This is rainbow book full of art and love for SCS. WOW...I love all the color on this...even using your MISTI it must have taken some patience to get all those colors on the words. What a great card for one of your Teaparty sisters. Oh and I love to peek at the challenges the night before, too to get my ideas flowing.

Easel image - easel card and an Art Journal to boot - you have definitely covered every aspect of this challenge, Lori. The rainbow of colors is uplifting.

Ditto what Carla said! Wonderful swap card! I love where you took the challenge. We must be connoisseurs....I recognized both of your book images...my open book must be Stampington’s medium. Haven’t seen who has found this in their mailbox, but score!
