It may be the last day of the year BUT this is my first Teapotter Challenge and my first ever easel card.
This card morphed as I worked on it since I had visualized a vertical card. As soon as I got the folds in my card base, I realized I had Oops-ed on my cuts but plunged ahead. Stamped the AI gal on scrap stock and colored with prismacolor pencils then fussy cut and backed with mounting foam. I wanted my year to kind of float in the air so die cut the upper edge with a SB curved edge. I cut a matching piece from black and offset the scallops to really emphasize the curve then affixed the die cut numbers. Added some clouds with a chalks applied with a cotton ball. Decided to continue the wavy theme by cutting the gray sidewalk to follow the lines of the top. Sponged Peeled Paint onto the drop off from the top cut and used that as funky grass to edge the bottom. The inside easel bar was the drop off piece from the sidewalk adorned with a strip of washi tape the has gold embossed sentiments.
No matter what goes wrong in life, keep a positive outlook . . .The possibilities are endless!!

Those wavy lines add such a great feeling of movement to this - clever with the sidewalk drawn in! Love your washi tape. What a great upbeat optimistic start to the new year! Thanks for joining the challenge this week .

Welcome to Teapot Tuesday, Linda.
So glad to see that I'm not the only person who had never made an easel card before. Yours looks like you've been making them for years. Love that fun image and how you've used the wavy shape to add the feeling of movement here.
