For today's WTUI challenge, which you can find HERE. I had to ditch plan A when my time got diverted into other channels, but was happy to add this to my stash for January birthdays.
I used texture paste through the stencil, removed it and sprinkled gold glitter over. After drying, I trimmed it down and matted it on black card and added the sentiment. I think a little bow tie might have looked nice under the sentiment, but DH said no.

I go with DH. Glitzy is best left alone. What a fun card for a January birthday........we have two in our family...#1 son on the 31 st and youngest dgs on the 30th.

Love the sparkle, and what a terrific stencil to have for the challenge. This makes for one very beautiful birthday card Sabrina. Thank you for a great challenge.

Just WOW!!!! The glittery stenciled background is a spectacular- I didn’t even know you could get glitter to stick to the paste. I gotta give this a try! Love the texture AND the sparkle. Very cool addition to the Knit Wit Challenge!

Wonderful Fair isle pattern to your bg and all the prettier with the addition of the glitter(good way to keep it "nailed down" too), Sabrina.
Hope you find your hand knitted sock soon. Your pattern reminds me of a hand-knit pair of mittens that I still have that were done by my high school trigonometry teacher. I was her aide and they were my Christmas gift from her. Must have been done on size 0 needles with fine wool.....a treasure that I could never part with.
