I wanted to make something special for someone special and when DH came home with this tin full of mints, I had an idea that I might be able to do something with it.
It has more techniques than I would normally manage to include: colouring, shrink plastic, stamping, heat embossing and glittering!
The front stamp is from PrintWorks, the inside snowman is part of a set from Penny Black (I think) that was a gift from the recipient, as was the greeting stamp AND the snowman on shrink plastic. I used Stickles for the sky, that stuff took days to dry on the metal but the coverage was pretty good. Then I used a snow writer for the snowy ground - another couple of days drying there.
I found some trees in my stash that I cut the tops off to use and hot glued them into place with the snowman. The last step was more of the snow writer to cover any gaps!

I cannot say how cute and sweet this is in real life! It's totally adorable, and I hope to turn it into a tree ornament when it finally becomes time to take it off the mantel. Thank you so much.

So cute! What a fabulous way to "recycle" an empty tin!
