Thank you Judy for your dedication and the inspiration you provided through your challenges!
I'm the third of a 3 way challenge with Lori (ArtzadoniStudio) and Susan (One4Joy)[. Click their names and check out their cards! The challenge came out of a visit to Lori's studio and inspiration from these creative artists. We used the same Anna Griffin floral bg, stamping and coloring them in her studio. Took the bg home and added our own spin. What a joy to meet people through this site and create friendships along with art.
I water colored the bg with waterbased markers. Lightly dragged the bg panel through gold ink smooshed on my glass mat. I die cut a lattice and trimmed it to create a frame. Flipped it over, dragged it through the gold ink and adhered to bg. Die cut Inspire from teal and black CS and layered on card to create a shadow effect. Added a vellum Thoreau quote at the bottom. It needed something more. Judy's texture TLC guided me in just the right direction. I added gold foil to the lattice and frame to pink flower soft to the hydrangea. I've got texture from the watercolor paper, the raised die cuts, the foil and the flower soft. Whew, that was a novel! TFL

Fabulous. It almost looks like those semi-metallic prints one used to see, I don't know what they were called, but I remember my aunt bringing some back after her trip on the Nile. Love the rich colours, and the lattice.

This is gorgeous, Carla...I love the effect the smooched gold created with aging the piece. My fav lattice fragment. I like how you've split the sentiments. Wonderful fun, wasn’t it.

OMGosh, Carla...this is a wonderful work-of-art masterpiece. What a transformation from seeing the bare-bones coloring picture on the table to this transformation. I am sure it's even more amazing in RIL! What a great trip and fun you all had! This MUST be FAV'd!
