Carey is going out with a bang with this fun sketch. Thanks for four and a half years of fabulous sketches, Carey! I have some coworkers retiring at the end of this year, so I have to take a little break from my Christmas cards and make some Retirement cards. This is for one of my first teammates when I started out as an intern. She's retiring after over forty years with the company. As you can imagine, a lot of people are going to want to sign this card, so I made it a big one. It's 5.5 x 8.5. I think I'll have to make another one too. I searched through my Evernote for images that I had tagged with "Retirement" or "Relax" and decided that yoga cats would be fun for Rae. Plus, it made my decision easier for the word at the top of the sketch. I designed the "Namaste" in the Brother ScanNCut software using the "Wildest Creatures" font. This font works great for cut files. I'll have to remember that. I cut it once from white and once from black. I chose this DP with it's natural colors because Rae is a nature lover and I thought Broken China would pop against it and also complement the color of the cat well. I had also printed the words "home" and "today" in the same font to use on the banners. The inside of the card uses the SU Congrats sentiment--Let the Relaxation Begin (Happy Retirement). I put the cat on an Action Wobble because I love action wobbles and popped up the white glittery scalloped circle too.

Namaste home today too, watching the snow........and DH out with the snowblower! (He offered to teach me how to use it. I declined.) This is such a fun card for your retiring friend. Thanks for the giggle!! Hugs.
