I don't own any pastels, so I used Perfect Pearls which have a powdery, chalk-like appearance in the jar. I used Dina's "Pastel Stencil Press" tutorial found here for the back panel. The Perfect Pearls give it a definite shimmer.

You've made a beautiful card with what you've got, you could use eye shadow instead of pastels that works too, but my motto is I do what I can with what I've got so this is perfect!!

Wow, I am envious of you and Anne already moving on to Valentines. I love making Valentines so I am anxious to get started on them too, but I have to get these Christmas cards completed before I can move on. I love your beautiful pink background for this. Maybe you have inspired me to sneak in a valentine today too!!

I'm glad you were able to capture a little of the shimmer in your photo, hard to do with Perfect Pearls. Looks great with that warm gold, too. Very Italianate, to me.

Thank you so much for playing along and being inspired. I am so thrilled you came up with another way to join the challenge. That makes my day and I am in awe of your stunning your card turned out too. Truly beautiful.
