If anything could go wrong, well today it did just that! First, I used the embossing buddy so I wouldn't get white ep everywhere on the black bg. That didn't work, and it left me with a little bit of white from the eb. So let's call this the Chalkboard technique (thank you, Melody). I wanted to emboss the trees, star and snow-that didn't happen so I used my white gel pen to whiten them. I did get to emboss the snow on the ground though. : ) When trying to use red ep on the sentiment, it didn't show up at all on the black so again I used my gel pen to trace over the letters then my red marker over them. The deer punched out perfectly, but I glued 2 of them together and the antlers didn't stick well. Ok enough already~ Here is my inspiration. I went on Pinterest like Sallie did to check out store window displays

Oh, I think we've all had days like that and can empathise with you. I hope you like the card - I think you ought to. I think the white embossing on the black background looks super, especially the trees. Ugh, I hate it when sentiments don't go right, because they're usually the last thing when all the rest of the card is done, but it looks as if you made a great save.
If people only knew the challenges to making something homemade. I ran into my own issues the past couple of days, too. Glad you persisted. Lovely black and white ideas!
