This card is for Polly's (peeps321) Falliday Fest Challenge, Traditions. When I was growing up, our family tradition was to attend church on Christmas Eve--that's when our Sunday School presented the Christmas Eve Program, complete with shepherds, angels, Mary & Joseph & baby Jesus, and the Wise Men. The last hymn we sang for the evening was Joy To The World.
I stamped the sentiment, nativity & village with Versamark ink, & heat embossed with the Detail Gold EP. The sentiment was stamped on red CS, & fussy-cut to fit onto the lacy oval that was die-cut from the gold CS. I fussy-cut the nativity after stamping & heat-embossing on the red CS. Adhered it to the gold CS & fussy-cut a border around it. Stamped & heat-embossed the village onto the tan CS, & adhered that onto gold CS. Cut a background panel from the G45 PP, & layered that onto a gold CS panel. Popped up the lacy oval & nativity pieces with dimensionals. TFL!

This is lovely and what a wonderful memory. I remember being in the Christmas pageant as a child...I was the star! I loved singing those Christmas hymns, too.

Love, love, love the layout, colors and amazing card for your family tradition. We use to attend a midnight service but our local churches don't do them any more.

Wow Liz, this is so classy and so elegant and such a great Christmas card inspired by your song of choice. I would not have thought to heat emboss on red cardstock like you did, and I absolutely love the effects of this. The touches of gold are very appropriate for this very special Christmas card. ~Karen.
