I recently bought some sticky EP to use with the Nuvo gilding flakes that I bought on clearance. And while I was at it, I picked up some deco foil on clearance. This is my first attempt. It's a big mess. The sticky EP did not stick well enough. It's not smooth at all. And it'a all still sticky. I ended up with foil strays all over, so I had to stamp the confetti background. But then I did manage to get most of the strays up with a rubber cement eraser. The floral sprays that I cut with my ScanNCut are freebies from The Hungry JPEG right now. I cut them from silver shimmer paper and then sponged on Peacock Feathers ink. The bottom panel is white sponged with Peacock Feathers and then lifted through a stencil that has a very similar design to the cut flowers. Another previously unused stamp set crossed off my list!

Your happy mess is just beautiful!!! I love the colors and the confetti background adds to the festivity of the card!!! Also, love the touch of doodling!

I would never have known your background was a result of trying to cover stray foil pieces. It looks like someone threw handfuls of confetti in the air to celebrate! I like your addition of the die-cut floral spray - it draws my attention to the right side of the card where all the stamping is.

Messy might not always be fun, but you still came up with some pretty great results inspite of it

wow...thanks for the major effort, though! Don't you hate when something doesn't preform to expectations. But you turned it around beautifully, Jen. love, love that hue of blue.

I admire you for "sticking with it"(pun intended), Jennifer. I would have given up....but you forged ahead and ended up with a beautiful birthday card. The black/turq/white makes a stunning combination.

Well, whatever you used, it looks really pretty. Good for you for 'sticking' to it!! You could've just given up and you didn't. I think this turned out beautifully.

Wow... I like your messes! The colors really pop and the dimension is great. I hear ya... I struggle with foil and really many things that others make look flawless!
