I made this really quickly last night for a work colleague who has finally, at long last, taken and passed her driving test. OK, so last time it came round was the day before her baby arrived, so on that occasion I can understand why she didn't do it, but she's chickened out a few times before.
The clouds in the SU Rainbow Builder made a great hedgerow background, which I embossed, added Stickles and sequins. The sky was embossed and sanded, and also has Stickles lining each cloud.
Snoopy was stamped on thin white card, coloured with Polychromos pencils and a silver gel pen and fussy-cut.
For the road, I pleated a long strip of black paper and stitched it on with white buttonhole twist - I like the thickness of that, it gives more definition to the stitching. I popped the foreground grass border up on foam.
The banner was punched from a scrap on my desk, and I just wrote the sentiment myself for a change. I didn't have time to fuss around with stringing twine across the card to hand the banners from, so I laid them out, pencilled the line of the curve and used Liquid Pearls to make my line.

One of the things I love to do is read your descriptions in the email first, I have a picture in my head and always, always, always me expectations are exceeded, even though I know it's going to be great. Sabrina this is a gem! What a fabulous keepsake for your work mate. I love all the many details that bring this card to life. Pure joy my friend. I never would have thought the banner wasn't on twine, what a great idea. The handwritten letters makes in so authentic.

What a fun and perfect card for the occasion! I love snoopy images and this one is just perfect! You know, I have always identified with Woodstock as I can fly upside and sideways at times lol

What a terrific card. In true celebratory style! Love Snoopy and Woodstock in the car! The glitter and sequins with the banners are so colorful and fun. How you created the road is clever. So much to see and enjoy. Congrats to your co-worker! TFS

Oh my goodness Sabrina, I can think of no better congratulations card for someone getting their license than Snoopy and Woodstock- how fun! Your creativity astounds me all the time Sabrina- I would never have thought to use the clouds for the hedgerow like this (now I will) and I love how you embossed the hedgerow and added stickles. I love the stickles added to the clouds in the sky as well. I am putting this delightful card into my favorites folder for future reference. ~Karen.
