I used the same stamp set from the first one, and slightly masculine colors. I loved her paint swoosh mixture in the second one, as well. I was thinking about the challenge at Less Is More #405, but I think I did too much with my inky BG. I did have something sparkly, shiny and chalky. Maybe I'll try again...
This is going out to James who is a WWII veteran who is turning 100 on the 7th. I learned about him through Andrea (papercrafter40) and her cute owl card.
To make my BG I used an old gift card to swipe my distress oxide inks that I had smooshed on a mat and spritzed with water. Got this idea from Hannelie, who got the idea from Channin. She has a link to a YT video on the technique. I mostly just went one direction. Sometimes I used more of the edge of the card and sometimes I spread it out more. I also did some splattering in the end.

What a fantastic masculine card this is for someone who is turning 100. He will really appreciate this gorgeous background you made that showcases this wonderful plane image perfectly. I love the sparkly cloud and this great sentiment too! ~Karen.
