For Lydia's MIX346 Faux Reductive Painting challenge. Super fun - I can see making a set of four for my September quota of Christmas cards.
I did use Frisket for my mask - it's what I have used several times for Dina's masking with die-cuts tutorial, and you can run it through the Big Shot to make sure there's no bleed and it still peels off nicely. But it's not sturdy enough to keep, at least not with a very delicate cut like this one.
I used a cling-wrap background from my stash which already put me on the MIXed media radar - Brusho powders, Brusho acrylic shimmer spray, spray starch. I added the Frisket mask and brayered it down well, then painted over. Removed the mask and stamped the sentiment when I was sure the paint was dry. Added it to a white base with a black pen border.

WOW- super job on this technique! I want to reach out to stroke that bg - to me it looks like super soft over-dyed denim . . . . so cool! You put this pre-done mix bg from your stash to good use.
