Todays Featured Stamper is JRHolbrook! Great choice, Kittie. Gracie is quite active in our community, an encourager of others and creates interesting art! I enjoyed going from the very beginning of her gallery...but when I came across Madame Butterfly I knew I had found 'the one'.
I kept Gracies layout. I used the same die cut. I fussy cut my 'sis'. Things I changed...I used a Japanese Art Rice Handpainted paper for my background. Used a different Asian beauty. Added a bit of Oriental characters along the bottom. Used Micro Mini Beads for her headband, tassel, and fan.
I love how this turned out...Butterfly's sis has an air of mystery surrounding her...I wonder what's the scoop!
Thanks for stopping by on this last Sunday in August. I appreciate your comments. And Gracie...enjoy your FS gallery and spotlight!

Wow! I loved Gracie's Madame Butterfly card when she posted it and now I am loving what you have done here with this gorgeous card. I love how you turned the card on it's side and how that completely changes the look of the sizzix die in the bg too. The microbeads on the headband and the Japanese characters (how did you do this?) along the bottom are fantastic touches along with your gorgeous papers. You have truly done Gracie proud with this gorgeous card Jayne! ~Karen.

Oh, yeah, this gal's got secrets, all right! So glad you didn't in how you made her. I love the die cutting into the Asian paper. I'm so glad you chose this card, because somehow I had missed it in Gracie's gallery and it's a beauty!

Fabulous case of Gracie's gorgeous card. I love your use of the micro beads in the headband and tassel and how wonderful that you had rice paper to use for your oriental beauty!
