My mom asked me recently if I had a get well card in my stash that she could send to a friend. I had seen this one on Pinterest, and so didn't even bother looking in my stash, as I wanted to recreate it!
I used the Owl punch (obviously) for my main image. For the hat, I used the breast piece and punched it from white cardstock. I turned it upside-down, trimmed it quite a bit smaller, added two insanely tiny strips of red shimmer cardstock to make a cross, & glued it to the back of the owl's head. (I had left the bottom of the hat longer so I could glue it that way.) For the wings, I die cut the smallest "Oval" die from the same brown cardstock I'd used for the body. I cut along one "side" with scallop scissors, and then cut it in half cross-ways. I glued each half to the back of the owl, pointing one down and the other up to hold the balloons. I added the irises & pupils to her eyes last, so I could have her "looking" at the balloons at the proper angle.
I die cut a piece of teal cardstock with one of the "Postage Stamps" dies. I used the same die to cut a strip of patterned paper for the bottom, to act as a ground for the owl. I adhered the patterned paper to the bottom of the teal panel, then mounted that onto a yellow panel.
I didn't have a balloon die the right size for my card. So I used a "Nesting Oval Infinity" die and cut 3 "balloons" from patterned paper scraps. I stamped my greeting on one. I glued the back 2 down flat on the card, and popped the greeting one up. Before I adhered the popped-up balloon, I added 2 pieces of yellow baker's twine for balloon strings for the back 2 balloons. I added a third string for the front balloon, sandwiching the end of the twine between the foam tape & the background. I poked a few strategically-placed small holes around the owl's outstretched wing, so I could thread the twine through those & wrap it "around" the end of her wing. (This was necessary mainly because I'd already glued the owl & her wing to the background.) I tied a double bow with more twine, & glued it over the base of the front balloon. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white card base.
