Hello all, just a lark to post this today. wasn't going to, however, Shirlb19 and I were discussing fun ways to use Work of Art set and I mentioned I had done this, still wasn't going to post it, but then saw SPORTS on the WT751 challenge and figured too many reasons to share it now. haha I added it to a couple of other recent challenges it fit right into.
This card is for a great 16yr old who runs cross country, for his high school. I was opening the wine and saw the interesting pattern it had and thought of cobblestones on pavement and just knew I would make some type of runner for his card. I positioned the die cuts so that the runner was Forward to the right and mounted on darker background specifically to the right side.. 'keep moving forward', was the message inside. I drew a tiny White Gel Pen eyebrow and mouth for definition, but otherwise watercolored some background and Water Spritzed the Work of Art stamps to bleed a little into the paper. Watercolored the front rounded part of face. The back of head, torso, legs, arms are water spritzed stampings.
Used tiny dimensionals to mount the piece of sturdy foil piece of wine bottle foil. hope you enjoy this fun card. TFL Teresa

You are certainly so creative with that set, Teresa. The spritz and bleed really adds a feeling of movement to your runner. DH is always proposing I keep and reuse the wine capsules when he notices an interesting one - but since I'm still waiting for him to layer up the motorcycle die I painstakingly cut for him from four different designs, I just say they're all going in the bin till he does that .

I am enjoying seeing this, immensely. I am so glad you posted this. I love that you got your inspiration from a wine bottle! They also have the best designed labels, I am always noticing. This is so creative and cool. It even looks like he has treads on his running shoes!

Hello right back at you kiddo, you had me at 'wine'. This is pure genius and super duper arty and fun. Couldn't be more perfect for a 16 year old. I'm so glad you shared this clever creation Teresa.
