So, I have been putting off finishing that custom birthday card order my secretary took in a while back because, I did not "need" these cards to be done until "fall"... and then I was informed this morning that in that gpa's world. Fall is August 3rd... ( fortunately the ones needed this summer are done and this card finishes out the order. I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I seen the tutorial Sabrina linked to for the Double matted frames, and for some reason I had it in my head to use printed papers ( that red and navy are paper. And they have a slippery waxy type coating on it that is very unforgiving, some of the pieces in the pack are creased looking and missing color, I thought oh no big deal you're going to cut a hole in the center anyways... the flag image here is not really as perfect of a rectangle as the dies so, I took the bottom blue drop piece and tapped it to the backside of the cut image after I cut off all the white on the outside of the stamped frame edge. I had a really hard time getting the side edges to glue flat so, I am guessing this works much better using cardstock and that is what I will try next time around. thanks for this challenge Sabrina, & tfl.

The double layers frame the flag so well, Stacy. I find thinner pallets harder to glue always. I'm afraid that if I put to much glue they will cockle, so then I don't use enough and they don't stick well.

Your idea of fall and mine are the same! LOL! I can't even imagine our kids are going back to school next week (thus "fall"). I think double matting this way really does add to the finished product - yet, I never think of doing this! LOL! Love your creation.
