I made this card for my daughter's birthday just before my final surgery on my right hand earlier this month, and I forgot to post as we were busy with her birthday camping trip. So, here it is with left-hand, one-finger, hunt-and-peck typing! I am able to enter it into 11 challenges...some were current at the time of making the card and some are challenge catch ups.
1. AOCC19JULY - All Occasions Card Challenge "Razzle Dazzle Rose--Night of Navy" - 7/1/19. I could not follow the monthly suggested color theme on this one...it had to be predominately shades of turquoise to fulfill the recipient's favorite color once I committed to that idea from inspiration from other challenges, but it does fulfill one of the female birthday required card for July.
2. IC707 - Inspiration Challenge - Brick House Fabrics - 6/22/19. This challenge required a visit to the subject website to look for inspiration. I found this "Watercolor Fabric Floral" piece, which you can view by clicking on the following title: Watercolor Fabric Floral. It inspired me to design a card with flowers as it reminded me of my daughter's flower pots and baskets decorating her front porch, backyard, and deck.
3. FS646 - Featured Stamper Challenge - 6/23/19 - Julee Tilman aka Vervegirl. I have long admired Julee's wonderful creative talent. I chose this card from her gallery. To see, click on the title: Perchance to Dream[/URL], as it really defined the colors I wanted to be sure to work into the card, plus gave me the idea to add lots of sparkle:
4. MIX334 - Mix-Ability Challenge "Sparkle and Shine" - 6/21/19. This challenge requires a happy card with lots of sparkle and shine, of course. Though my card photo does not show it well, the flower bouquet is covered in iridescent glitter as is the happy birthday die-cut sentiment, plus the satin ribbon and iridescent goosebumps add more sparkle and shine. My mixed media elements are sponged ink on the flowers and cardstock used to die-cut the sentiment and inside photo corners, plus stamped purple splatters and glitter added to flowers and die-cuts.
5. DINSP0619 - Dare to Get Dirty Monthly June 2019 Theme "All the Bells and Whistles" / Inspiration - 6/15/19. The Inspiration picture helped me to decide to use the Bouquet Bunch framelit flowers instead of stamped flowers and to layer the flower clusters to add texture and depth as the flowers are in the picture of the necklace...so pretty! My card fits the theme requirements with the extra fancy ribbon embellishment treatment and the layers upon layers of flower clusters added into the bouquet with its delicate sponging to give them lovely colors.
6. TLC746 - Technique Lovers Challenge "Ink Blending" - 6/10/19. This challenge requires three or more colors or shades of a color blended on either the background or the focal image. I used Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, and Highland Heather inks, but as you can see, the ink blending brought out a deeper purple and different shades of turquoises than the two inks actually used.
7. S2S19M - Stamp 2 Save (aka Stamp 2 Spend) Challenge "Sponge It" - 4/6/19. The sponging requirement was to do the sponging in such a way that you usually don't. I made a piece of ink-sponged colored cardstock from which to die-cut and punch my sentiment and scalloped photo corners. I also die-cut at least eight flower clusters and ink-sponged them after die-cutting. I have not actually done sponging for either of these purposes before or in this manner. I usually do sponging on a cardstock panel for sunsets, sunrises, etc. or sponging using a stencil.
8. F4A471 - Free 4 All Challenge "Is It Spring Yet?" - 3/1/19. The simple requirement was to make a flower project. My card certainly fits that!
9. ABC10G13 - Alphabet Challenge, Round 10 - Letter G for a garden theme. The flower bouquet is gathered from Michele's flower gardens.
10. MMTPT485 - Teapot Challenge "Let Your Little Light Shine" - 11/7/17...we need sparkle, bling, cheerful, uplifting, and lots of color. This is a challenge catch-up. I have added lots of iridescent glitter to the flowers and the die-cut sentiment, plus shiny satin ribbon and purple iridescent goosebumps.
11. USEIT2019 - Use It Challenge is an annual ongoing event. This challenge requires you to use items from your cardmaking stash that is gathering dust because it has been a very long time since you used it OR something you bought a long time ago and never used. The items that are old and brand new that I have had for over two years and never opened the packages are the Beautiful Bouquet stamps and Bouquet Bunch framelits, plus the iridescent goosebumps and satin ribbon...yikes!!! It's about time!

Carlene, your bouquet is gorgeous. You used my very favourite colour combo, aqua, shades of mauve and turquoise. The hard work of sponging those florettes really paid off. I love it.

Those are the sweetest flowers, Carlene, and in wonderful colors. I am sure your daughter loved her card. You are an expert at typing with one finger.

This is so pretty Carlene! I love these lacy flowers and the gorgeous colors you sponged them in. I can only imagine the patience that required with having only one hand to use. The ribbon treatment you used is so interesting and draws your eye right to this beautiful bouquet of flowers. I love your multi-toned birthday sentiment too. I hope you are really proud of yourself making this beautiful card for your daughter with only one good hand! Take good care now. ~Karen.
