First of all, until I took this photo, I didn't see that the bigger trees were farther away. I'm not great on perspective, not being artist trained. So please look at the diecut trees as further away than the painted ones.
That being said, I really enjoyed doing this card and always question 'why don't I do more folds??' I think it's mostly a time element, seems like such a long process if I haven't done one before but it really wasn't that bad. When I started making this, I knew I wanted acetate for the front and I used white cs because I had no idea what else I was doing. The rest just happened, hence the perspective issue. Actually, who knows, it might have happened anyway, given that I have no clue most of the time.
I had done this wc piece a long time ago and have been using it little by little. It was a gift for my Mom and when she died, since I already had one for myself, I used hers as needed. I still have a chunk. She loved the north woods and trees and being at the lake. We were not campers though!

That tree background is really beautiful. I don't see any problem with the perspective, because to my eyes the die-cut ones could just be spindly young trees and the ones in the background are older, more mature ones. And the paper you used on the folds of the tent base is really gorgeous.

I didn't notice the perspective thing..guess I was just eye balling those lovely birch tress...all of them. This is a really cool design and it's great that you had that extra wc painting to use as desired. Terrific saying..
