The Paper Players challenge has Claire hosting the CAS challenge and she is asking for a summer beverage theme. I didn't want to go with a wine theme, so went to Pinterest for some
ideas and came across a lemonade glass made from vellum and CASEd the idea. I stenciled with Daffodil Delight ink (SU) and a Tim Holtz Bubble stencil on the card base and made my own "glass" from
heavy weight vellum and scored each side at 1/8th inch and folded it downward. I placed foam squares behind the lemons to adhere it to the base (*note the couple of slices inside the lemonade).
I used several shades of yellow Copic markers (Y06, Y08, Y13) to color the back side of the vellum. The Lemon Zest stamp set with matching punch by Stampin' Up was the perfect match for my yummy lemonade. Note that I slightly sponged some green on the lemon stamp before applying the stamp to paper. I robbed the tiny straw off of a juice box (always in my frig in case the grands come to visit!). The sentiment is...you guessed it...another of the Simple Strips Background by Taylored Expressions. This was a lot of fun to create once I had the idea in mind!

Wow! What a great card - so creative! Such a good job making the glass - love that you can see lemon slices inside! The sentiment is cute and perfect! Wonderful job!
