Yes, I needed another pet sympathy card. I made this for my friend Liz (to whom I traded a lifetime supply of cards for her robotic vacuum). She needed it for a friend. I had the background ready from the MIX challenge to use graphite. The only way I could think to do it was to rub pencil over an EF. I thought it was a cool look for a pet sympathy card. But then I wasn't quite sure how to finish it, so I went back to our Featured Stamper's gallery for inspiration. This card really jumped out at me. And I never use ovals unless I'm CASEing someone else's card. I like Joanne's thicker frame, but I didn't have the right size oval dies to make that work. Finished by stamping this cute little kitty and cutting him out. Popped him up on the card and scattered some Enamel Accents around. Thanks again for more inspiration, Joanne!

Love the silver frame with your rubbed graphite, it looks great. So does your sweet kitty; I like that set but always forget about it. The enamel dots look great.

This is such a fabulous pet sympathy card Jen! I adore the graphic bg you did here because I would never have thought to rub a pencil over cardstock placed over an embossing folder so thank you for the great inspiration on this. The bg with the wonderful sparkly oval frame makes a great statement for your wonderful sentiment and is a terrific backdrop for your oh-so-sweet kitty and birdie. ~Karen.
